 * The common expression translated "good and bad" or "good and evil" 2 Samuel is a Merism — follow the link for this and other examples in the Bible.
 
 * The metaphorical concept of people being made from clay by a potter is not unique to Jeremiah. The Bible refers specifically to two potting techniques: pinching, and throwing on a wheel. Jeremiah sees God as throwing us on a wheel. See The Metaphor of God as Potter for an Old Testament character who sees himself as God's pinch-pot.
 
 * Brother John Thomas paired Romans 1:20 with 2 Timothy 3:16 to express the idea of God's "Two Books" — i.e. God's Works in the creation, and his Word in the Scriptures. In one place he referred to them by the understatement “those two interesting volumes”. See at Two books for links, and other modern Christadelphian views for and against this belief.
