 * What is compared to "the waters of Noah" in God's eyes, according to Isaiah 54:9? This verse is sometimes given as a reason to believe that early Genesis should be read literally. Is the same logic applied to the removal of mountains in the next verse, in your experience? Should it be?

 * How does your translation handle "from/since the foundation/creation of the world" in Revelation 17:8? Do these variations matter? Is there a difference between the world's foundation (or creation) and "[from] before the foundation of the world"? What things do the Scriptures describe in these ways? Consider some of the passages listed in this wiki at Before the foundation of the world.
