KJV

13 Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth,
and my right hand hath spanned the heavens:

when I call unto them, they stand up together.

The foundations of the earth

Understood literally, the foundations of the earth in this verse are incompatible with the heliocentric model accepted by modern science. See Theistic Heliocentrism for the comparison between Heliocentrism and Evolution — neither Astronomy nor Evolution necessarily denies the hand of God by studying natural causes and effects.

The sky as a tent

Re the language of the sky as a tent "spread out" (NRSV) above us, see other references at Unfurling the Heavens.
