Psalm 103:13-14

This is one of the places where the Bible describes all of humankind as made from the dust.
→Bible→Old Testament→Psalms
NRSV
- 13As a father has compassion for his children,
- so the Lord has compassion for those who fear him.
- 14For he knows how we were made;
- he remembers that we are dust.
13 Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him. 14 For he knoweth our frame*; he remembereth that we are dust.
- * "Our frame" is from the verb יֵצֶר (yetzer, the potter's word) — see Created, Formed and Made.
Clearly this refers to the Psalmist, and to us all. Compare Psalm 94:8-9, which even more clearly applies to all humankind.
