* 1 Timothy 1:4 — Bro Alan Eyre believed that this verse is appropriate to "the crackpot notions" of so-called creation scientists "who do not engage in any valid observational science at all, but are simply literalist biblical scholars . . . " Do you agree? (Ref. at the verse.)
* On the other hand, see at 1 Timothy 1:18-20 for reference to a citation of verse 20 as reason to exclude members who accept evolution from Christadelphian ecclesias.
* See links at 1 Timothy 2:13-15 — the passage is taken as evidence for and against a literal reading of Genesis: it is said to be a confirmation by Paul of the literal existence of Adam and Eve; but a close reading of the pronouns in their context may suggest that Paul understood Eve to be an archetypal figure of womanhood.
