This passage was referenced here (4.4.3) in our response to the AACE discussion questions.

John, as Paul (see Philippians 4:8‎), expects members of the ecclesia to judge what is true, and to suspect that many "prophets" are false. How should they do that? This critical thinking is wisdom.
