Framework Interpretation

The term "Framework Interpretation" is sometimes used to refer to readings of Genesis 1:1 to 2:3 that understand the seven day week culminating in the Sabbath as a literary structure, within which the creation events are organised. This organisation serves artistic and mnemonic purposes and does not necessarily correspond to a chronological sequence.
