The Jewish Publication Society (JPS) has published an English translation of the Tanakh in the Jewish Study Bible.

Meaning of "Tanakh"

The Tanakh is the Hebrew Bible, or "Old Testament". The name "TaNaKh" comes from

  • Torah — the Five Books of Moses
  • Nevi'im — the Prophets
  • Ketuvim — the Writings
