Science is a difficult process, and a lot of objections to evolution are in fact disguised objections to the process of science. Often apparent conflicts are resolved by the clear thinking of a reasonable philosopher. :) So when debating about evolution, it's essential to have a reasonable idea of the philosophy of science.
