* Joshua 10:10-15 — "the sun stood still" etc. — illustrates the geocentric language of the Bible, contrary to the heliocentric model accepted by modern science: the Bible is using Phenomenological Language here. See Is Heliocentrism analogous to Evolution?
* Zaphon appears in Isaiah 14:13. Is this a reference to paganism, or a dead metaphor meaning "the North"? See Genesis 13:14 for an answer.
* In 1 Timothy 6:20-21 the King James Version uses the phrase "science falsely so called". Does the Bible say that there is something "false" about science, or can we argue it somehow from the Bible? Follow these links to see surprising evidence this is definitely not a good argument to use!
