BibleOld TestamentDeuteronomy

NRSV

32 For ask now about former ages, long before your own, ever since the day that God created human beings (אדם adam) on the earth; ask from one end of heaven to the other: has anything so great as this ever happened or has its like ever been heard of?

KJV

32 For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man (אדם adam) upon the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it?

This passage is an example of the usage of the Hebrew word adam. See "adam" the common noun and The human race.
