Non-theism is an umbrella term covering Deism, Agnosticism, Atheism and other views — anything that does not involve believing in a god or gods. For our Bible-based purposes in this wiki we rarely need to distinguish even between deism, agnosticism and atheism, let alone other views such as pantheism and panentheism.

Nevertheless it is wise not to make too many assumptions about so-called "atheistic science". This blog post by Christadelphian brother Stephen Snobelen gives helpful background about the language and thought of Einstein, Hawking, Carl Sagan and others whose thinking does not fit easily into the categories listed here.

The Wikipedia page on Nontheism gives much more detail!

Deism

Deism is belief in a God, or Supreme Being of some kind, which created the universe, or perhaps is identical with the universe, but is not personal or involved in any way.

Agnosticism is the belief that nothing is known or can be known of the existence or nature of God.

Atheism

Main article Atheism.

Atheism is the belief that no God or gods exist.
