"The Faith", as opposed to people's faith, is a term for the Gospel in the New Testament, beginning from Luke's account of preaching it in Acts. Examples are:
- Acts 6:7 — many priests were obedient to the faith
- Acts 13:8 — Elymas tried to turn the Deputy away from the faith
- Acts 14:22 — an exhortation to continue in the faith
- Acts 16:5 — churches established in the faith
- Romans 1:5 — obedience to the faith
- 2 Corinthians 13:5 — ask yourself if you are in the faith
- Ephesians 4:13 — the unity of the faith
- 1 Timothy 3:9 — the mystery of the faith
- 1 Timothy 4:1 — depart from the faith
- 1 Timothy 5:8 — deny the faith
- 2 Timothy 4:7 — keep the faith
- Jude 3 — contend for the faith
