Job speaks of returning to his mother's womb

NRSV

[Job] said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return there; the LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.” (NRSV)

KJV

[Job] said,

Naked came I out of my mother's womb,
and naked shall I return thither:
the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away;

blessed be the name of the LORD. (KJV)

REB

saying:

‘Naked I came from the womb,
naked I shall return whence I came.
The LORD gives and the LORD takes away;

blessed be the name of the LORD.’ (REB)
