Young Earth Creationism (YEC)

This talk on Youtube by Phil Vischer (the creator of children’s series "VeggieTales") is a clear and accessible outline of the history of ideas about Flood Geology during the 20th Century.

An extraordinary 20th Century development was belief in "Hydroplate Theory".

See discussion at Geological Time, Seventh Day Adventist doctrines of Origins.

A geological paper published by the USA National Center for Science Education which gives geological arguments against Flood Geology as taught by Seventh Day Adventists and some Christadelphians, can be downloaded here: The Defeat of Flood Geology by Flood Geology] (PDF format).

Old Earth Creationism (OEC) with and without "Gap"

See discussion at Beliefs re the Age of the Earth and Geological Time. [Tangled links to be rationalised? BP]

Evolutionary Creationism (EC)

EC beliefs are fully compatible with modern Geology and its geological time frame. Christadelphians who accept evolution usually believe that the Flood of Genesis ch. 11 was local and was not responsible for the Grand Canyon, etc as proposed by Flood Geologists.

Deism, Agnosticism and Atheism

Deists, Agnostics and Atheists have no religious objection to the geological time frame, and no reason to consider Flood Geology as credible science.
