Now the man knew his wife Eve, and she conceived and bore Cain, saying, “I have gained a male child with the help of the LORD.” (JPS Tanakh)
Robert Alter
And the human knew Eve his woman and she conceived and bore Cain, and she said, "I have got me a man with the LORD." (Robert Alter, The Five Books of Moses)
Hebrew adam in this verse is correctly translated the man in REB, NRSV and JPS Tanakh.
