John 12:45-46
From Reconciling understandings of Scripture and Science

45 And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me.
46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
John 12:32, 12:40 and John 12:45-46 are cited here as being relevant to the claim made here and here that to say that certain verses are non-literal "is to say Jesus and apostles were lying".
Amusingly, light and darkness are anything but literal in these verses — no more so than Jesus' mention of seeing God!
See comment at John 12:32.
